Personal

Sharon Anegg has studied classical singing techniques and has taken part in various Opera and operette productions. (New Opera Vienna, Operette Festival in Bad Hall, the 1. Viennese Operette Festival in Tokyo, etc)

Since 1995 she´s taken part in several Jazz workshops, including workshops with Sheila Jordan, Ines Reiger and Cornelia Giese and is currently working with Leila Thigpen.

In the autumn of 1997 she formed the quintet "Sharon's...!" (Peter Schreibmaier - trumpet, Wolfgang Schmidtmayr - piano, Hannes Laszakovits - bass, Wolfgang Dorer - drums) and has given numerous concerts in Vienna and the austrian provinces.

The Repertoire consists mainly of songs from the "American Songbooks" - swinging Jazz songs, Bossa Novas, sensitively interpreted ballads - and Pop classics.

Since the spring of 2000 Sharon has appeared in various formations from duo to quintet, primarily, though, with Heimo Trixner (guitar) and Oliver Steger (bass). The current programme, "Legrand - Off The Beaten Track" consists exclusively of the songs of the french composer Michel Legrand, songs which have been re-worked and arranged by Heimo Trixner to fit the trio formation.
